Ferry Duijsens (Punto) started playing guitar at the age of 9 years. After playing in different bands in his teens, he was invited to become a member of a band called Dreadlock Pussy in 2001. As the Dutch frontier of the Nu-Metal scene the band had national success, playing all big Dutch festivals and doing supportacts for Disturbed, Machine Head, Rammstein and Therapy?. Dreadlock Pussy enjoyed national airplay on TMF and The Box.
After Dreadlock Pussy broke up, Punto went on with other bands like Viberider and Kill Ferelli. Both bands had remarkable success with national airplay and a Pinkpop performance for Viberider.
Punto has been playing with Anneke van Giersbergen since 2010, enjoying a lot of tours and visiting many countries. He co-wrote a couple of songs for her album 'Drive' and performed live with Anneke and associated live-projects 'The Sirens', 'The Gentle Storm' and is involved with Ayreon. Naturally, Punto also joined Anneke's new band VUUR and is ready to tour the world with his custom VanderMeij Guitars!
