The Fleshweaver is the VanderMeij x DISTANT Signature X-shape guitar. It's a battle axe, built to be wielded night after night under blinding stage lights.

Developed in close collaboration with Nouri Yetgin (DISTANT), this X-guitar with its resonant body, top quality original Hipshot hardware and handwound Fleshweaver pickup is designed to slice through the mix even with the heaviest and lowest tunings.

  • Built in Indonesia, finished in Amsterdam

    Our Fleshweaver guitars are built in a small Indonesian factory with ethical practices, specializing in high-end instruments. Each guitar is produced in small batches and receives quality control and setup in our Amsterdam workshop. We equip these guitars with premium hardware, ensuring they match the quality standards of our full lineup.

  • No compromise

    Equipped with premium components including stainless steel frets, Luminlay side dots and Ebony fretboard, you've everything you need to trust your instrument on stage. This is a no-compromise workhorse: streamlined options, professional-grade components, at an accessible price point. Choose any color you like, as long as it's all black.

  • Handwound pickup

    The Fleshweaver pickup installed in the Fleshweaver guitar is a boutique handwound pickup by me. The pickup delivers a tight, fast low end,focused high mids, andrazor-sharp attack, making it perfect for technical riffing, down-tuned chugs, and cutting lead lines.

F.A.Q.

How much does the Fleshweaver cost?
The Fleshweaver guitar costs €1.450,- excluding taxes and VAT. For EU customers, VAT adds about €300,- to the price, calculated by our webshop depending on the country you are in. For customers outside the EU, import fees may be charged depending on the country you live in. This is your own responsibility.

Where are the Fleshweavers now?
The 25 Fleshweaver guitars are currently shipped from Indonesia to Amsterdam. We were astonished by the quality of the prototype the factory sent to us already, which is the Fleshweaver that Nouri Yetgin of Distant is currently touring with. We have been in close contact with the factory about the process ever since and are sure the rest of the batch also meets up to our standard.

What is DISTANTS Nouri Yetgins part in this?
The Fleshweaver is Nouri Yetgins signature guitar. He was closely involved with the designing process of the extreme X-shape and the development of the Fleshweaver pickup, which is also sold seperately.

Can I get it with 6 strings/Floyd Rose/Evertune/etc.?
We have ordered 25 exactly the same guitars with Hipshot hardtail bridge and 7 strings. The specs are all set. We have not decided about a follow up yet. If you want a top quality Fleshweaver at an accessible pricepoint, be sure to order one now!

I am sure I want a Fleshweaver already! How do I make sure to get one of the 25?
By demand, we have set up a "secure your spot" payment of only €100,- (and whatever this translates to with taxes and currencies). We accept bank transfers, PayPal, or creditcard (via Shopify). This will of course be deducted from the final amount, we'll send you a code. We choose not to work with pre-orders with larger deposits as this is our first time working with import guitars. 

Do you ship to my country?
We ship worldwide using Fed-Ex, a reliable and fast service with full insurance. Shipment is €50,- within the EU, €150,- elsewhere. Of course you are always welcome to pick up your guitar at our workshop if possible!

Can I change specifications during the process?
The guitars are shipped in sturdy boxes in which they can't move. We offer a padded gigbag for €30,- extra and Gator hardcase for €120,- extra.
